I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's bout.

Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly proceeding.
